To the website of the Friends of Amberswood. We are a local community group made up of residents from the local towns of Hindley, Hindley Green, Abram, Ince & Platt Bridge which surround this beautiful local green space. The group works with officers of Wigan Council and staff of the Groundworks trust to make a difference in what is an expansive and diverse natural environment.
Whether putting on events, or helping in the conducting of species studies such as water vole and brown hare, you can be sure that a member of the group is never far from Amberswood. The group is open to anyone who shares our common interest: To maintain and improve this amazing place.
